Meet Your Guide

Hi, I’m Alvin Brown — born and raised in Placencia. With over 10 years of experience and as a licensed Belizean tour guide, I’m passionate about sharing the real Belize.

At Belize With Alvin, I guide you through caves, Maya ruins, rivers, and hidden waterfalls — offering authentic adventures that protect our culture and environment.

I speak both English and Belizean Creole, sharing stories that connect you to Belize beyond the usual sights.

This is my home, my story, and my passion. Walk with me.

Belize Adventures, Guided With Heart

Whether you want to explore ancient Maya ruins, hike to jungle waterfalls, or discover sacred caves, I offer experiences shaped by memory, story, and place. Here are a few of my most requested tours:

When I visit these places personally—not as a guide—I walk the trails, swim in the rivers, explore caves, and climb Maya ruins thinking about my kids experiencing the same wonders. I also think about those who can only dream of these adventures, and I feel honored to share these moments with travelers like you.

I deeply admire everyone who protects these special places. Like many before me, I’m proud to help you connect with Belize’s natural and cultural treasures. Sometimes the bumpy roads or insect bites are part of the journey — but the memories you make will always be worth it.

What Makes Belize With Alvin Different?

Rooted in Belize

Born in Placencia, based in San Ignacio — I’ve lived both the coast and the jungle.

More Than a Guide

I’ve worked in conservation, tech, and tourism for over 15 years. I bring the full picture.

Small, Story-Driven Tours

No crowds. No scripts. Just real moments shaped around you.

Independent & Ethical

I run my tours with local values and deep respect for the land and people of Belize.

From Firehearts to Maya Temples: My Journey

My grandfather worked on the Panama Canal. My grandma made Johny cakes on an open fire. I fished from a dugout canoe before school, and taught myself tech with a broken computer and no internet.
Later, I almost gave up on moving to San Ignacio — until I fixed the phone of the same man who once listened to my grandfather’s conservation plea. That moment changed everything.

Support Real Belize Storytelling

Too much online about Belize is recycled. I’m here to change that — with stories, field notes, and videos rooted in real life. I’m raising $1,000 for video equipment to capture Belize from the inside out: hidden trails, local foods, wildlife, culture, and everyday life.

If you believe in honest storytelling, you can support that mission here:
