My Journey as a Belize Tour Guide: Certifications, Training, and What They Mean to You
A Journey That Started Long Ago

Marking a Milestone: Belize Tourism Board Tour Guide Training Certification
I completed the Belize Tourism Board’s National Tour Guide Training in May 2025 and proudly graduated in June 2025. This achievement honors my earlier experience and marks a significant chapter in my guiding career. The training covered both General and Professional Core Modules, equipping me with the knowledge and skills to offer safe, informative, and memorable tours.
Embracing Wildlife Conservation
During the tour guide course, we were introduced to the Belize Wildlife & Referral Clinic’s Wildlife Ambassador Program. The entire class saw it as a fantastic opportunity, and we squeezed the training into our busy schedules. This course taught all of us vital skills to care for injured animals until professionals arrive. Now, I am equipped to contribute more meaningfully to wildlife preservation efforts — a cause that’s close to my heart.

Enhancing Guest Experiences Through Customer Service
The Importance of First Aid
First aid skills are essential for anyone, especially those working outdoors. I completed CPR, AED, and First Aid certification because being prepared for emergencies is a responsibility I take seriously. Everyone should have this knowledge, and I’m proud to be ready to respond if needed.
