🇨🇦 Flights to Belize from Canada (2025–26 Update)
More Canadians than ever are finding their way to Belize — and now, getting here just became easier. With new nonstop routes and longer seasonal service, the 2025–26 travel season marks a turning point for how North Americans reach our shores.
Belize has always been a destination you choose, not stumble into. Now that choice comes with better timing, fewer stops, and the same warmth waiting when you land.
✈️ What’s New for 2025–26
Starting December 8, 2025, Air Canada launches a brand-new nonstop flight from Montréal (YUL) to Belize City (BZE) — the first of its kind.
This opens a northern gateway not only for Canadian travelers, but for Europeans connecting through Montréal on the same day.
At the same time, WestJet and Air Canada are both expanding their winter schedules:
- WestJet resumes service from Toronto and Calgary beginning October 30, 2025, running through May 10, 2026 — nearly two extra months of flights compared to last season. westjet.com/en-bz
- Air Canada will continue its Toronto–Belize route and add the Montréal nonstop, making it possible to reach Belize from three major Canadian cities without touching a U.S. airport.
For the first time, Canadians across the east, west, and central provinces have direct access to Belize. www.aircanada.com

🌍 For UK and European Travelers
If you’re flying from the UK or Europe, Canada is now one of the easiest gateways into Belize.
The new Air Canada nonstop flight from Montréal to Belize City connects smoothly with major European cities like London, Paris, Amsterdam, and Frankfurt, often within the same day.
Instead of routing through the U.S. or taking the Cancún bus, travelers can now connect through Montréal and arrive in Belize by nightfall.
It’s a faster, friendlier route — and a perfect bridge between Europe’s winter and Belize’s tropical warmth.

🧳 Booking Tips

- When flying through Toronto or Montréal, try to keep at least a two-hour buffer for your connection.
- Arrive in Belize before mid-afternoon if you plan to travel onward to inland destinations the same day.

🌎 Why These Routes Matter
For years, getting to Belize meant passing through the United States or Central America.
Now, Canada stands as its own direct bridge — a gateway linking the Caribbean Sea and the Great White North.
This shift also connects Europe more closely to Belize: travelers from London, Paris, Amsterdam, and beyond can now fly into Montréal and continue south the same evening.
Every new route shortens the distance — not just in hours, but in accessibility and awareness.
It means more people discovering Belize for what it truly is: a country that still feels personal, where nature and culture haven’t been polished smooth.
🛬 When You Land
Flights arrive at Philip S. W. Goldson International Airport (BZE) just outside Belize City.
The tarmac is open air; you’ll walk down the steps, feel that warm humidity rise up, and know the vacation has already started.
If you’ve arranged a transfer with us, we’ll be waiting — keeping track of your flight in real time, ready to drive you toward rainforest, river, or reef.
There’s no jet bridge — you’ll walk down the stairs and across the tarmac. If it’s raining, you may get wet (umbrellas are limited).
But the breeze, the warmth, and the calls of birds in the distance? That’s Belize saying: “Welcome.”

❤️ A Season of Connection
This winter marks more than new flight numbers on a board — it’s another step in bringing Belize closer to people who value authenticity over crowds.
Three Canadian cities. One shared sky.
And a destination that still greets you by name.
If this post reminds you why travel matters, feel free to share it. This is the side of Belize we rarely see online — but deeply feel when we’re here.
🚐 Via Cancun + Overland Transfer
Some Canadian travelers fly into Cancún, then:
- Fly with Tropic Air or Maya Island Air to Belize City
- Or bus/shuttle overland via Chetumal
This route takes longer but can be cheaper during low season or when U.S. connections are difficult.

If you’re interested in combining history and nature, consider this:

- Connect to Flores (FRS) — a small airport near Tikal
